I ROCK cuz I WALKED! (part one)

Well People! Talk about being environmental friendly plus some self-torturing! Let get crazy and lets go GREEN (literally green, you will know when you see them photos)!

Is been on my mind since I am going to come back to the beautiful Sabah to finish up my thesis. To walk from where I stay (Kingfisher) to Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu! Yessss!! WALK!! For you people who do not know, the distance between 2 point was 8.4km (Google Maps). It was a long walk indeed! To make comfortable of the walk, you gonna wake up real early to beat the scorching sun. Not waking up early has been the sole reason that I am not able to do it earlier! hahahhaha. By the way, I manage to do it this time!

The walk started with some early 'tapau' breakfast. believe me, you'll need it! Me and one of my friend (Panda Chan! U rocksss!) started walking around 6.15am. It was enjoyable, to be able to breathe in the morning air, to kiss the morning sea breeze, and let the rising sun slowly warmed you up.

Making our step along crescent coast line of Likas bay. We came across alot of things we never came to notice before, although it had been 4 years being in this beloved land below the wind. Tagging with us are rows and rows of lush green trees, providing us  protection against the rising sun. A place with blends of aroma, the sea, the morning and the trees, spelled the word, natural, at it's purest.

We walk along the coast and we came to notice cars parked to the side of the road, all heading to our direction! Perhaps they wanna ask us if we are insane to walk to KK! hahahahahha!! No no no, they were heading to meet some fish merchant parked at the coast offering the freshest catch of the morning. One thing you really do not see often, people regardless of race gather at a place to just want to get some decent meal (here, fishes) with no regard on food safety in any way! Im a food student, can't blame me for being sensitive. hahahahhahahah!

People, fish, boat, sea and of cause, rubbish!

When you see the floating mosque, you'll know you are half way through! yayyyyyyy!! looooooong way to go still... hahahhaha! Walking, is a very very very healthy thing to do which are not much practiced in people lives nowadays. People will be like zooming in their petrol consuming, air polluting, and overpriced vehicle! I said this because there is just many cars zoom pass us when we walk. I bet there will be some kid within the car, saying ' Ma! look at that two dumb guys! WALKINGGGGG!!! HAHAHAHAH'. Hey kid, you the DUMB! hahahhahahahahhaha! Kidsss nowadays..... I'll throw my kid to walk to school everyday! oooooo he/she will hate me so... XDXD

Likas Lagoon! a Heaven for bagau!

Sabah port! Maaaa! i reached KK already!
Once we reached KK, it was.... QUITE! You can't blame it, it was a sunday morning where people are still lazy-ing inside their blanket! hahahahahha!! Once we reach KK, we hit Gaya street! A weekly (every Sunday) morning market selling from local handicraft to pet dogs! One of the hippest tourist spot in KK. Where you can see tourists holding up camera all the time. wait.... im holding one too.....XDXD Well people, Gaya street, I can only say, it is a place specially made up for tourist, which mostly sell local merchandises. You wanna real morning market feel? Try go to Tamu! Tamu is the morning market which operates sometimes 3 times a week, some just once a week in various town across sabah. The nearest one is Dogonggong, Tuaran and Putatan. These Tamu usually start operating at 4am and a must visit! They sells a variety of local fruits and food, real Sabah style baa. hahahhaha!
We stop by Jesselton point on the way to Gaya street!

And of cause the KK graffiti spot! sadly it was sabotaged! damnnnnn you vandalism!

Like I say, from hadicraft...

...to pets. XDXD

The walking has take it's toll on our legs and our energy levels! believe me k! Im not turning weak because of long term no-sport day!..... perhaps that was the reason... damnnnn. Im getting old.... hahahah! After one round around the tourist infested Gaya street, we head to Fook Yuen coffee shop for our breakfast. They make one of the most fluffy white bread! But not necessary the tastiest, they should really add a little bit more of salt! hahhahahah! Just my opinion okay! hahahha! But their Milo rockssss all the time! And at last I know why! Is because they put almost half glass of Milo powder to make a glass of Milo drink! No wonder la! hahahahhahaha! After some dim sum and some bread, and some adequate well earned rest. We head to out next stop, Australian Place (the area near KK traffic police HQ). It had been the number one place I wanted to visit in this trip. It may mean nothing to alot of people with just two rows of shop houses guarding a street. But the satisfaction you get when you finally got to a place where you wanted to go a long time ago, beats all the boredom. The beauty of Australian place was slowly exposed strolling down it's streets, from wisma Jubli to the KK traffic police HQ. The old building with it's chipped paint and iron bar of yesteryear as well as the scent of nostalgia, giving you picture of how busy this place used to be. A small piece of old Australia, in KK.
Fluff up bread!

back of the shop houses in Australian place

Me with the plague declaring Australian place near Musuem Kopitiam, KK.
As we reach the last stretch of the street, we stumble upon something cool! A clock tower! You may say that, 'chehhh, just a clock tower!'. Hahahahah! The element of surprise stumbling this brings joy! This clock tower has a name: Atkinson clock tower. Atkinson, is about 2 and a half story tall, shrouded in white and stripped in black, one of the place of interest in KK heritage walk. From the police station, you need to climb up steps up a hill to reach the fenced clock tower. We stand in front of it, appreciate the surprises it offers, for him be one of the KK significant hidden so well, and I felt glad, that we got to it. I then came up with a crazy idea, lets head to Signal Hill observatory tower! one place where you can have a birds eye view on KK. I bet that there is a way leading up the hill from the clock tower (me having the exploring heart). And off we go as explorer! While just meters away from the clock tower, it RANGS!! It really rangs!! for 10 times (cause is 10am... duhhh)! believe me, it was one of the sweetest sound that fills my heart with contemplation and a sense of fulfilling.

The Atkinson tower, rings of sweetness

As an explorer, is a must to explore every roads! Even though some of them looks really creepy, just like the one we did explored. We thought it was a shortcut! hahahhahaha! It was a stretch of staircase, which had higher steps then normal one do, and makes climbing them even harder. The path was surrounded by big bushes and tall trees where sunlight hardly penetrate through. We even need to overcome some fallen trees hurdle, the real 'Jungle in the city!'. hahahahhahah! When we reach the end of the path, we saw one unknown building. I thought to myself, this all look so wrong, Im definitely we got to the wrong path. Perhaps the path one the left will lead us up! I was so dead wrong after we walk on it! hahahahahha! We reach some old wooden creepy house which looked like a kidnapper den! hahahahhaha! I won't want to be kidnap! Turning back is the wise option! After coming down the staircase, we head to the road leads up the observatory. The right way this time!
Jungle in the city!!

So called kidnapper den (dub by me!)!!

Signal hill observatory! Another place I wanted to visit long time ago, and I should. The sunset here should be really magnificent! Anyway I got here, by walking! hahahhahaha! I sat down, enjoyed the view, cursed Suria Sabah for blocking the sea view, and rest! Them tired legs deserve one big rest!! This is one view I would not forget, the KK I love. Plussss some funny laugh when we saw some MV shooting of a local artist (I think)! The funny thing is that when he sings, there is another guy playing the radio for the music for him to lip sync! damn funny and damn low budget! hahahahhahaha! It was all fun! By the way, we found the real short cut towards Signal hill, which would lead you down to Australian place....XDXD! Good explore indeed!

Well people! Thats it for Part one!

Stay tuned for part two ya!

Sharing FREE Stuff

This is a FREE reminder for you people, that 'Great things in life are free'.

You may have heard of it countless of times, seeing the same thing get to your face in TV, listening in commercial on the radio, in some friendly advert and now here again. And some of you may start arguing that, 'what? I have great things when I have money! great things in life is not free at all!'. And they are probably right! Yes I do need some money to sometimes get my FREE things. The thing is, be balanced, there is no people rule you to not embrace both concept at the same time. Money can buy you great things and too great things in life are free. How beautiful was that!

Here's my personal experience of the day getting FREE stuff and paying some money for it indirectly! Hey I gotta drive to go that place and paying for the petrol ok! hahahahahhaaha! ok ok, back to business. Many of you might realized this and many of you might not. Bookstores nowadays serve magazines and books for FREE!! for selected one of cause! Bookstore is like your new age library without all the hassle to register or BE QUITE!! GREATT! i like tat!  But.. you sometimes will be like staring at one COOL magazine and like 'damn can they not invented clear plastic wrapping to make me wanted to look at the inside but not able to unless I buy it!' Believe me, magazine in Malaysia would really burn your wallet/pocket/purse. They are expensive! hahahahah! Well, the good thing is, some magazine are FREE for you to have a flip! Books are the same case too! and they even have some stool for you to sit on! I think in 5 years time they would have their own cafe selling drinks. If the books are free I definitely go sit on that cafe ordering plain water and spend my day over there!! hahahahhah!! maybe they should really consider this... XDXD.

Ok! I chose two magazine, one is 'Lonely planet', the other is 'Travel Union' (I think that is the name of the magazine, do correct me if im wrong). Travel magazine are cool! cause I like to read, and at the same time look at some cool photos! plus some self imagining you are there! By the way, imagination are FREE too! hahahah!. One particular article strike me a interest, is about a challenge trip in India, where you travel 1900 miles across 4 state in a span of few days in tri-shaw. Yea, TRI-SHAW!!! Pimp out tri-shaw!!! They called it the International Tri-shaw challenge. Veryyyyy cooooool!! hahahahhaha! See people! All for FREE!!! at least while you imagining! hahahahah! Im at that bookstore for almost one and a half hour, and enjoying every second of it! hahahahhaah! All for, again, FREE!!! say it again, FREE!!!! I did also read on FHM... but that is another story itself XDXD!

I had a special side for sunsets. I just love them.

FREE stuff is hard to come by, when the only FREE stuff you defined as FREE are those small little bottle of new shampoo which stick to the side of a bigger shampoo when you need to buy the bigger shampoo to get the FREE shampoo. HAHAHAHA! FREE stuff is all in you mind ya! Think of it as a blessing, to give and received. I particularly remember the smile that the lady-tauke (boss) of my favourite restaurant gave me. I was like really late to my dinner and rush to there for dinner. The lady-tauke gave me a warm 'FREE' smile, welcoming me, saying that they are still open and im the last customer. So I ordered my food, hastily galloping
into my stomach (imagine there is almost 5 pairs of eyes of tired staff waiting for you to finish n clear your table). hahahhahah! Again the lady-tauke pass over my table, smile (FREE) to me and said 'Don't rush, eat slowly, there is no need to rush'. The staff break into a laugh (which is again FREE) and repeatedly saying 'Don't rush, slow down'. And I really relived and truly enjoyed my meal! hahahhahah! Im sort of hiding my embarrassment by saying 'Im actually rushing for a movie'. which is true ya!! dun think i made this story up!! by the way, the movie and the dinner are not free. But the FREE smiles and FREE laughs are, and that is what made my bowl of noodles more tastier, made my movie better and most importantly, make me happier.

FREE stuff. The point is not receiving or giving. The point is actually realizing it, receiving or giving, please have gratitude, be glad, and at most, be happy about it.

Note: Sharing and reading this are for FREE (don't take into the account of how much internet and electrical fee I paid. hahahhaha), What you do after this are FREE for you to decide.

Do share what FREE stuff you give or received in the comment section below. Sharing is FREE! XDXD

Share my mess no. 1: Of Love!

Is about love, it is always about love people.

Below are the text from my all time favourite writer, Paulo Coelho. In his book 'By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept'. Of love.

...with love, there are no rules. Some may try to control their emotions and develop strategies for their behaviour; others may turn to reading books of advice from 'experts' on relationships - but this is all folly. The heart decides, and what it decides is all that really matters.

All of us have had this experience. At some point, we have each said through our tears, 'I'm suffering for a love that's not worth it.' We suffer because we feel we are giving more than we receive. We suffer because our love is going unrecognized. We suffer because we are unable to impose our own rules.

But ultimately there is no good reason for our suffering, for in every love lies the seed of our growth. The more we love, the closer we come to spiritual experience. Those who are truly enlightened, those whose souls are illuminated by love, have been able to overcome all the inhibitions and preconceptions of their era. They have been able to sing, to laugh, and to pray out loud; they have danced and shared what Saint Paul called 'the madness of saintliness'. They have been joyful - because those who love conquer the world and have no dear of loss. True love is an act of total surrender.

We often speak of love so valiantly. Where love, is simple, is always from your heart to a heart. He do not just described love, He love.

I definitely recommend  his books to everyone! especially one of the all time best seller 'The alchemist'. Do enjoy one of life's greatest works. hahahahha!

Love well people!

I love to be here at the beach to watch the sunset - the greatest performance of Nature.  Like in a theater, but it’s free. - Gina De Gorna

Well, It all started with a great wake up in the morning (afternoon actually) it is still bright wat! hahaha! I tell my self, 'today, i'll date the sunset' and off me go on today's evening to the spot I always fall in love with, with the sunset of cause. I go exactly one hour before the sunset which normally sets at around 6.30pm in Sabah. why I know u ask? It just happened that my favourite past time during evening is to date sunsets! hahaha! sunsets, are like a lady, sometimes shy, hidden by clouds, sometimes confident, giving you the most blinding rays. This sunset today give me her confident and shy side all together.

Well, i got there, is a sea sided by big boulders, and a pier that almost trying to reach to heaven. The sun shone confidently on me. Way confident until it was actually hot!! man it was HOT OK!!! hahahahhahaha!! seriously im not kidding!

SERIOUSLYYYY RITE!!! hahahahhaha! it was like a giant fireball coming at you! on your face! engulf you! burning you from the inside!! is like you gonna meet your maker in seconds! n n n.... sorry way to carried over. I should say, it was a strong sun today! hahahahhaha! (WARNING: looking directly to this strong sun set will give you temporary blindness and headache... dun believe me? you go try IT!!)

That is why dating sunsets are so much enjoyable to do!! you never get bored of it! Well.... I go dating with an arsenal of stuff! Book is a must have! It is a pleasure of life being able to enjoy two of the most beautiful things in life, books and sunsets! Enjoying alot of things at a shot is always my thing!! The next thing off my arsenal is of cause the camera! for capturing sunsets! It is awesome to be able to get good sunsets shots, but you know wat? The best shot you can have, is to look at it's beauty with your naked eye. Is best photo you can keep! hahahh! next is Orange Juice! nothing special for this thou, just that I have some leftover! hahahahhah! Last but not least, Some snack! for my ever hungry stomach! wakakakakk!!

It actually turn out to be a Picnic!!! wakakakakkakakakakak!! Whatever you guys called it! It was the most enjoyable thing to do!! Human are really meant to be one with nature. Whatever problems you face guys, go back to nature, you bound to find your answer there. My guide for the day, Guys and Girls!! GET OUT!!! Get out of that stuffy room of yours! or even those properly air conditioned room of yours!! There is no room better than being free and embraced by nature! Go start enjoy the beauty of what the world have to offer you while you still can! Sometimes you don't even need to go look for it! They are sometimes just a step or a drive away. As long, you opened your heart, and fully immerse yourself in its beauty! The most beautiful thing in life is not how expensive, how comfortable, how fancy the thing is!! Beauty is in the matter of how deep you allowed it into your heart. Everything is beautiful, as long as you know how to look, not with your eyes, but with your heart. Breathe, Truly breathe in. That's beauty at its best. No words are able to explained the following captures, let your heart tell you what it's gonna tell you. :)

quoting Bern Williams, 'It is almost impossible to watch a sunset and not dream.'

Messy Messy Me

Wohohohohohoho! Here is how your start off a new blog with that name! to showoff how messy myself are! well, it might be some sore sight for some people. Perhaps some girls, or maybe some of u guys. Well people! I seen worst! (Like that guy who stayed with my room mate in my previous house where there is only two people staying in that room... duhhh) XDXD! The following images may stir up some organised mind, viewer discretion is advisable!

The hell with being organised. Labeling, sorting, placing stuff according to colour? and do you remember that 5S thingy where I think most of the sane people are practicing? 5S... err.. Sushi, Shitake mushroom, Sake, Sexy asian chick and Sony! XDXD 5S is like the best of Made In Japan!! Say im wrong! hahahahhahahah.

Well people, being messy is how I roll (literally). Is in me! I could not stop it! Nor I can denied It! hahaha! enough organised people! stop booing!! hahaha! Messy is how I get my things done! Is easier for me to find my things, and is even easier to place my things, and sometimes misplace them... XDXD. Things just are easier to reached!! just grab them, and use them! and after u use them! leave them! hahahahahhah! And labeling and sorting, pleaseeeeee! I don't do that! I mean I don't do that always! sometimes I do! like labeling some guy as a jerk, some girl as just pure innocence, or sorting out my life (again I stress, sometimes)!

The point is, being messy is OK! Is your choice! if you are comfortable with it! WHY NOT!!  Is not wrong, is not against the law (is it?).. I mean is ok to be how you want to be! Being organised is ok too! Believe me, I do it sometimes, like once a year (so that I can start my mess empire again!) wahahahahahha! Back to the topic. I mean is OK to be you, you no need to judge what other people do things, and yourself need not to be judged by others. You judge yourself and do what you think is right for you (No crime please, this is not a support for you to go commit crime even you think it is 'right' for you!). Hahahahaha.

Live Well people!
